We’re delighted to be celebrating receiving a prestigious Gold Award from Investors In People (IIP).
IIP is the UK accreditation for people management and framework that reflects best practices in high performance working. The IIP Gold Award is only awarded to the top two per cent of organisations assessed; those considered to be at an ‘advanced’ level across nine development areas including:
- Leading and inspiring people
- Believing in the organisation’s values and behaviours
- Empowering and involving people
- Managing performance
- Recognising and rewarding high performance
- Structuring work
- Building capability
- Delivering continuous improvement
- Creating sustainable success
Back in 2017 our parent company Arun Estates earned its ‘Accredited Status’ status with IIP. Following a vigorous awards process during 2020, the Investors in People team deemed Arun Estates as worthy of upgrading to Gold Status, with assessor Lindsey Tuller particularly impressed with the company’s culture.
“The company ethos is clearly embedded in the day to day workings and staff have real trust and belief in the senior management team,” she explained.
As the only estate agent group locally and nationally to have received this award, our Head of Training at Arun Estates, David Hayes, was understandably delighted with the accreditation.
“It’s a tough assessment process which includes an online survey which 82 per cent of our teams completed. In October a series of interviews across all staff levels, from junior to senior management gave a more in-depth perspective following the survey.
“Those results collectively gave a helicopter view of how our staff feel about all aspects of the company. IIP uses these measures to compare against other estate agents and companies of a similar size to draw conclusions. On that basis, we were upgraded to a Gold Award Status.
Helping people move forward
For Aldo Sotgiu, Group Managing Director, the new IIP Gold Award is a prestigious honour for the company.
“For many organisations, Investors in People is the standard for people management and forms the benchmark of what it takes to lead, support and manage well,” he noted. “We’re over the moon with our recent assessment.
